And then, we ate.

We are twins. Except people say I am a caricature of her. Cool.
What I love about my sister is that she gets it. We are both planners and thus we appreciate each other's need to know what is going to happen (even if that activity doesn't actually happen) so that we have the opportunity to look forward to it. We call ourselves "flexible planners" because we like to make a plan, but if it falls through, it is typically because we found a cheesier place to eat, or a more fun bar to dance at along the way, and we are okay with that. So with that being said, as I am sure you can imagine, we had quite the itinerary leading up to her recent trip to Nashville - most of which revolved around eating (duh). And so, in the spirit of all the fun we had creating it (google doc - you are the best invention ever), I have decided to recap our Nash-awesome weekend itinerary-style for all of you to enjoy :)

FULL ITINERARY:

*What Really Happened

Friday:
11am pick up at the airport.
Her arrival was right on time. Drop you off at the pool while I finish my half day of work.
2:00pm: Join you at the pool and get an epic sun burn that people had to comment on the entire night. I knew I looked like a tomato people. No need to remind.
Go back to my place to shower. And eat. On our way home, we went to Kroger and bought ingredients to make guacamole (Lynn's famous recipe) and while Kroger was not originally in the cards because my sister is a Harris Teeter snob, she was unexpectedly pleased with the quality of the produce. See. Kroger really does rock.
Dinner just the two of us at Rumba on West End Ave
After primping and snacks we headed to Rumba and had an awesome five course small plate meal. Weston joined and we spent the night having a blast.
9:00pm (ish): Meet up at Jordan’s. Go out downtown with the gang.
We went to The Stage, danced our guacamole off and of course topped the night off with grilled cheese and tater tots from Paradise Park food side.

Saturday:
Sleep in and grab breakfast on the go or at one of the restaurants below - perhaps Loveless Cafe or we could drive out to Biscuit House since we will have time for brunch before floating. We went to Biscuit House. The biscuits were harder than normal. Sad. We ate them anyway.
2:00 pm - Meet at the Brentwood target to float the river. Rained out plan to float Duck river with some friends. Instead we felt like we were going to turn into biscuits so we did a Jillian Michaels DVD, made the mutual decision that she is probably a lesbian, took a walk around my complex and got ready for the night. We then headed to midtown and had awesome nachos at Tavern, then went back downtown to Whiskey Bent and The Stage before dinner.
7:00pm (ish) Dinner with at J Alexanders. Amazing. Literally the best meal of my life. Prime rib, mac and cheese and carrot cake. My absolute favorite restaurant from now on.
Evening plans - play by ear: Perhaps go to Big Bang Dueling Piano bar. Food coma hijacked this plan. Went home and went to bed.

Sunday:
Sleep in. We ended up cooking a wonderful breakfast and I flipped the bacon. Good for me.
That is me in pink, Lynn in white and Oprah in purple jumping.
Drive into downtown Franklin - lunch at Puckett's and then walk around. Yes we cooked breakfast and then drove 20 minutes to eat again. But it was delicious. Puckett's by the way is a precious restaurant that makes you feel like you are in a Rascal Flatts song.
On our way back home, stop for a hike at Radnor Lake. No physical activity occurred. Instead we stopped at Ben and Jerry's and ate our favorite flavor ice cream - Milk and Cookies. Kid-size - please. We at least know portion control.
Dinner: Go to Harris Teeter and pick up wine and groceries, go back home, cook, watch HSM and then go to Sweet CeCe’s in my neighborhood for dessert.
Instead we went to the Gulch and had sushi with Sara and some friends at Rusan's, no dessert since we had the ice cream after lunch. "HSM" stands for High School Musical, which we did watch a little of #3 while decompressing from our third food coma of the day. We may have also danced a little, and naturally sung along.

Monday:

7am Body Pump class at the YMCA - I went to the class and had a half day of work in which I could not feel my body - between the food coma and the intense muscle conditioning, my system was in shock.
Lynn slept in.
1pm meet for lunch - We can eat subway at the pool or go somewhere local - such as Panera then back to pool. Intentions to be healthy trumped by a premature need for Whiskey Kitchen. We moved the trip up to lunch and ate the following: fried pickles, buffalo chicken pizza, shrimp and grits, a side of mac and cheese and three sides of ranch. Then we just had to go have the ooey goey cake from Jackson's. Then we had a heart attack and were rushed to the hospital. Cancel. But really.. it was touch and go. We stopped at a boutique on the way home and I had to sit down - just chilling on the bench with the dudes whose girlfriends dragged them in. Burping.
Looks like a unicorn puked on my wrist.
7:00pm It’s BRITNEY BETCH. BRITNEY SPEARS CONCERT!!!!! I surprised my sister with tickets to the Briney concert at Bridgestone Arena downtown (well, I intended to surprise her but in true Cupero fashion I spoiled it on the phone the night before her arrival when discussing her wardrobe preparation). We met up with the girls and went to the concert. It was a blast. Check out my facebook for full mobile upload highlights. So-called temporary Britney tattoos featured here are still not coming clean off my wrist to this day. Brit definitely worked it, danced her face off, looked awesome (air-brushed abs and all) and lip synched her way into our hearts. The only bummer is she only actually spoke four sentences to the crowd the whole time - all of which were versions of "HOW YOU DOING NASHVILLE?! I can't hear you...." followed by an eruption of screams. At least she knew what city she was in. She did her classics, but left out "Oops I Did It Again" to my intense disappointment since it is my Brit Brit anthem and I was geared up to do the entire music video choreography in the stands. I forgave her when she did Toxic, but wished she brought out a snake.

My sister's awesome apartment in Boston!
Tuesday:
Take you to the airport before work. :( (9:45am flight). Sad times, but we are already working on the itinerary for my trip to Boston over labor day which should be Sex and the City EPIC since her apartment is right in the heart of the city, where as mine is 18 minutes from anything awesome (except for the Kroger - which is obviously the definition of awesome).

FOOTNOTES: (This was included at the bottom of the itinerary... we are legit nuts. Who plans this much? Cuperos do).

Weather for the week: http://www.weather.com/weather/weekend/37221

Alternate dinner options to consider:
